SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Travers Celebration, the official party of the Travers, will be held in support of the Backstretch Employee Service Team, Saratoga WarHorse and the Times Union Hope Fund at Saratoga National Golf Course on Thursday, August 27 at 7 p.m.
This year’s event will honor owner Magalen O. Bryant, trainer Jimmy Jerkens and jockey Javier Castellano, the connections of 2014 Travers winner V.E. Day.
Presented by The New York Racing Association, Inc. and sponsored by AstraZeneca, Coors Light, Kendall-Jackson, Ketel One Vodka and Maserati of Albany, the event will begin with outdoor cocktails followed by a formal tented seated dinner catered by Mazzone Hospitality at 8 p.m. The evening will also include a silent auction; as well as dancing and music from the Times Square Orchestra.
The 2015 Travers Celebration is co-chaired by Mr. and Mrs. Paul and Jo Ann Oreffice.

The Backstretch Employee Service Team is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing care and service to maintain the health and well-being of employees in the backstretch.
Saratoga WarHorse offers veterans a three-day experience that has proven to be effective and invaluable for those struggling to adjust to life after military service. The program is provided at no cost to veterans.
The Times Union Hope Fund, a component fund of The Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region, raises money and awards grants to after school and summer programs serving at risk children in Albany, Schenectady, Rensselaer and Saratoga counties.
