Star Donut campaign has now raised more than $285,000 since its inception in 2013
CENTRAL NEW YORK, New York; – Dunkin’ Donuts today announced the results of its Make-A-Wish® Star Donut charitable campaign by presenting Make-A-Wish® Central New York with a donation of $77,428. Dunkin’ Donuts also hosted a themed wish party for a five-year-old girl and her family at its Erie Boulevard restaurant to show how the campaign is impacting local families.
“Dunkin’ Donuts is honored to support Make-A-Wish Central New York, which works tirelessly to help make the wishes of local children come true,” said Eric Stensland, field marketing manager for Dunkin’ Donuts. “We’re glad we could provide Central New York residents with a special treat while supporting an organization that is so important to the children and families in our community.”
From April 29, World Wish Day, through May 7, Dunkin’ Donuts guests who donated $1 to Make-A-Wish Central New York received a Star Donut as a thank you for their generosity. The initiative has generated more than $285,000 since its inception in 2013. The proceeds from this charitable campaign benefit Make-A-Wish® Central New York and the many children with life-threatening medical conditions they serve.

Dunkin’ Donuts and Make-A-Wish Central New York also hosted a wish party for Central New York Wish Kid Lilianah Winship, who recently found out that her wish to visit the Walt Disney World Resort® and meet all of the princesses will come true. Lilianah and her family were provided VIP treatment and transported to the Dunkin’ Donuts location by limo to celebrate her wish with a princess-themed party.
Incorporated in 1985, Make-A-Wish Central New York is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to granting special wishes to children between the ages of 2½ and 18 who are living with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Make-A-Wish Central New York has granted nearly 1,500 wishes since its inception. Make-A-Wish® continues to “bring the magic of a wish” to special Central New York kids because of the generous support of the Central New York community throughout the 15-county region it serves. The counties being served are: Broome, Cayuga, Chenango, Cortland, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, Otsego, St. Lawrence, Tioga and Tompkins.
