ALBANY, New York – Families looking to add a dog or cat to their home will have the opportunity to meet a new furry friend during the all-new Pet Connection adoption clinic at the Times Union Home Expo on Sunday, February 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Presented by Hannaford Supermarkets, Pet Connection, one of the Capital Region’s most popular newscast segments hosted by News10 Chief Meteorologist Steve Caporizzo, will feature a number of adoptable dogs and cats from local humane societies during the three-day expo at the Times Union Center.
All individuals who adopt a pet during the clinic will receive a $25 gift card to Hannaford Supermarkets. Hannaford will also have a number of popular pet products on display for new and prospective pet owners to explore during the clinic.

In addition to the Pet Connection adoption clinic, the new and improved Times Union Home Expo has expanded its scope to include experts in building, remodeling, decorating, food and gardening and will also feature a farmer’s market, family fun zone, art gallery, painting instruction, Battle of the Chefs, and a celebrity appearance.
The 34th annual Times Union Home Expo will be held on Friday, February 7 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday, February 8 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday, February 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Admission on Friday is $5, courtesy of The Window Source. Admission on Saturday and Sunday is $10 for adults at the door. Advance ticket vouchers are available online for $8 at https://timesunionhomeexpo.com. Children under 14 are free when accompanied by a paid adult.
CDTA will provide complimentary shuttle service between the Times Union Center and Empire State Plaza for the Times Union Home Expo. The shuttle will run on Saturday, February 8 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, February 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Attendees who take advantage of the shuttle service will receive a $2 Dunkin’ Donuts rechargeable card while supplies last.
