Glens Falls, NY; – The Adirondack Thunder, the Capital Region’s only professional hockey team, will spread cheer to children in need this holiday season during its annual Teddy Bear Toss Game, presented by Aviation Mall, at the Cool Insuring Arena in downtown Glens Falls on Saturday, November 30. Faceoff against the Brampton Beast is at 7 p.m.
Fans are encouraged to bring a new, unused teddy bear to the game. Teddy bears will also be available for purchase from the Greater Glens Falls Salvation Army in the main lobby of the arena prior to the game.
When the Thunder scores its first goal, fans will be invited to throw the teddy bears onto the rink, where Adirondack players will gather up the stuffed toys.
All teddy bears collected during the game will be donated to the Greater Glens Falls Salvation Army, which will distribute the teddy bears to children in need throughout the region this holiday season. Nearly 2,200 teddy bears were collected during last season’s Teddy Bear Toss Game.
“As the holiday season gets underway, we’re delighted to again offer our fans a fun way to provide joy to area children,” said Adirondack Thunder President Jeff Mead. “The Greater Glens Falls Salvation Army serves communities in so many ways, and partnering with such a vital organization for this annual event is another way to show our appreciation for the support we receive from our fans.”
The Adirondack Thunder Teddy Bear Toss Game, presented by Aviation Mall, features a special Stewart’s 4 Pack offer, which includes four game tickets, four teddy bears and a $20 Stewart’s Shops gift card for $69.
