Members of the local community and Dunkin’ fans alike poured into Dunkin’s newly remodeled next generation restaurant at 472 Elmira Street in the Borough of Troy on Friday, August 2 as part of its grand reopening ceremony.
Dunkin’ franchisee Rahul Prajapati of the Dunkin’ franchise network Ma Uma, LLC commemorated the occasion with a $3,000 donation to Chop Out Hunger in conjunction with the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation. Chop Out Hunger is a nonprofit committed to ending childhood hunger in Pennsylvania through partnerships with over 45 schools throughout the state.
“Chop Out Hunger is very appreciative of this gift from Rahul Prajapati and the Dunkin’ Joy in Child Foundation,” said Chop Out Hunger Director of Development Rachel Santoro. “Through our community partners, we are able to keep our costs to a minimum in order to provide food to children who otherwise may go hungry. This check will allow us to feed 3,000 children.”
The celebration also included members of the Troy Chamber of Commerce, who joined Dunkin’ representatives for a commemorative ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The morning featured the first 100 Dunkin’ Rewards members in line at 9 a.m. receiving one free medium hot or iced coffee for 100 consecutive days on the Dunkin’ App, while many other Rewards members spun the Dunkin’ prize wheel for free Dunkin’ merchandise.
The 1,600 square-foot newly remodeled Dunkin’ employs 10 crew members and is open seven days a week.
