Dunkin’ restaurant in Ridgefield Park commemorates grand reopening with donation to Children’s Cardiomyopathy Foundation

Members of the local community and Dunkin’ fans alike poured into Dunkin’s newly remodeled next generation restaurant at 209 Main Street in Ridgefield Park on Thursday, September 26 as part of its grand reopening ceremony.

Dunkin’ franchisee The Sikand Network commemorated the occasion with a $3,000 donation to the Children’s Cardiomyopathy Center in conjunction with the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation. The Children’s Cardiomyopathy Foundation (CCF) is a non-profit organization focused on pediatric cardiomyopathy, a chronic and potentially life-threatening heart disease.

“Thank you to The Sikand Network and the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation for their generous support,” said Kathy Swenson, executive director of the Children’s Cardiomyopathy Foundation. “This donation will go to fund research studies in treating children with cardiomyopathy, a leading cause of sudden cardiac arrest and heart transplants in children.”

Additionally, the Sikand Network supported Ridgefield Park’s first responders with a pair of $1000 donations to the Ridgefield Park Police Department and Ridgefield Park Fire Department Engine Co. 2.

The celebration also included Ridgefield Park Mayor Adam MacNeill and members of the Ridgefield Park Police Department, who participated in a commemorative ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The morning featured the first 100 Dunkin’ Rewards members in line at 9 a.m. receiving one free medium hot or iced coffee for 100 consecutive days on the Dunkin’ App, while many other Rewards members spun the Dunkin’ prize wheel for free Dunkin’ merchandise.

The 3,000 square-foot newly remodeled Dunkin’ employs nine crew members and is open daily from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m.
