Members of the local community and Dunkin’ fans alike poured into Dunkin’s newly built next generation restaurant at 137 Route 17 South in Paramus on Wednesday, October 16 as part of its grand opening ceremony.
Dunkin’ franchisee BMD Management commemorated the occasion with a $3,000 donation to New City Kids in conjunction with the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation. New City Kids offers faith-based, after-school programming for local youth from under-resourced communities.
“We are beyond grateful for BMD Management and the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation for their generous donation, which empowers New City Kids Paterson to continue our work in the community,” said New City Kids Paterson Executive Director Jessie Davis. “At New City Kids, we are dedicated to providing a high-quality and engaging out-of-school experience through our After School Center for first to eighth graders and our paid teen internship for high school students. This partnership enhances our work as we come together to support our youth, brewing up bright futures one kid at a time!”
The celebration also included Paramus Mayor Christopher DiPiazza, Paramus Councilman Ace Antonio and Bergen County Division of Economic Development Deputy Director Michael McPartland, who participated in a commemorative ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The morning featured the first 100 Dunkin’ Rewards members in line at 9 a.m. receiving one free medium hot or iced coffee for 100 consecutive days on the Dunkin’ App, while many other Rewards members spun the Dunkin’ prize wheel for free Dunkin’ merchandise.
The 2,400 square-foot newly built Dunkin’ employs 18 crew members and is open daily from 5 a.m. until 9 p.m.
