Members of the local community and Dunkin’ fans alike poured into Dunkin’s newly remodeled next generation restaurant at 1760 Easton Avenue in the community of Somerset within the Township of Franklin on Saturday, January 25 as part of its grand reopening ceremony.
Dunkin’ franchisee Cedar Donuts LLC commemorated the occasion with a $3,000 donation to the Franklin Food Bank, in conjunction with the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation. The mission of the Franklin Food Bank is to support the food needs of the local community in Somerset County and surrounding areas in an atmosphere of dignity and respect.
“Dunkin’s generous support empowers us to elevate our service levels and provide more comprehensive support to those facing food insecurity,” said Franklin Food Bank Executive Director Derek Smith. “This partnership demonstrates a shared commitment to addressing the critical needs of our community. We are deeply grateful for Dunkin’s support, which enables us to implement innovative programs that address the root causes of hunger and build a more food-secure Franklin Township.”
Township of Franklin Deputy Mayor Shepa Uddin; Somerset County Clerk Steve Peter; Township of Franklin Board of Education Member Bill Grippo; and members of the Township of Franklin Police Department’s Community Relations Bureau joined the celebration and participated in a commemorative ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The morning featured the first 100 Dunkin’ Rewards members in line at 9 a.m. receiving one free medium hot or iced coffee for 100 consecutive days on the Dunkin’ App, while others spun the Dunkin’ prize wheel for free Dunkin’ merchandise.
The newly remodeled, 1,250 square-foot Dunkin’ employs 10 crew members and is open daily from 4:30 a.m. until 9 p.m.
