STUYVESANT PLAZA TO CELEBRATE SPRING RECESS WITH A WEEK OF FAMILY-FRIENDLY ACTIVITIES

Stuyvesant Plaza, the Capital Region’s premier open-air shopping and dining destination, is excited to announce, April Break Adventures, a week of fun-filled events and activities for local youth, ages 2 to 15, during Spring Recess, Monday, April 14 through Friday, April 18.

“Spring Recess will be bursting with fun for the community here at Stuyvesant Plaza,” said Stuyvesant Plaza General Manager Rachel Ferluge. “We’re thrilled to partner with some of our shops and eateries to host these spring-themed activities.”.”

  • On Monday, April 14, Blaze Pizza will host two sessions of Wickedly Delicious Pizza Party, featuring surprise guests—two witches who know a thing or two about defying gravity. Guests can attend either session: 11 a.m. to noon or noon to 1 p.m. The event fee is $3 per person and includes a $1 beverage offer. Lunch will be available for purchase. All proceeds will benefit Girls Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold through programs that promote leadership, academic achievement, and personal growth.   • On Tuesday, April 15, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. guests are asked to reserve a cookie decorating kit that includes four spring-shaped cookies and four pastel frostings. Each kit is $15.99 and comes with a $5 voucher for Bountiful Bread. Guests can pick up kits at the front counter to decorate at their convenience. Tickets can be reserved in advance via Eventbrite.
  • On Wednesday, April 16, Athleta will host a girls’ shopping event from 10 a.m. to noon. The event will feature exclusive deals on Athleta Girls items, a $15 voucher on a same-day purchase of $50 or more, free glitter tattoos and hair tinsel. This free event requires registration as space is limited. Tickets can be reserved via Eventbrite.
  • On Thursday, April 17, The Hot Yoga Spot will host a Glow Bug yoga class at 10 a.m. The class will include a glow-in-the-dark yoga session with glow-stick jewelry and accessories for added fun. Sessions are $5 per child and open to children ages 6 to 12. Event space is limited and tickets are required for each child and can be purchased via Eventbrite.

An exciting finale to April Break Adventures at Stuyvesant Plaza is planned with a surprise event on Friday, April 18. More details will be announced soon.

Throughout the week, guests can enjoy $5 off the purchase of footwear with an original value of $50 or more at Stride Rite by presenting any special event ticket from April Break Adventures at checkout.

Prior to Spring Recess, Book House of Stuyvesant Plaza will kick off the month of April with Tales for Tots on Wednesday, April 2 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. This free event is perfect for toddlers aged 2 to 4. Each reserved spot includes one child and one parent. Tales for Tots will take place the first Wednesday of each month through the end of the year. Tickets can be reserved via Eventbrite
