BST & Co. CPAs, LLP, one of the Capital Region’s leading accounting and management consulting firms, today announced the promotion of Sareena Sawhney to Partner. Ms. Sawhney has served as Director of BST’s Valuation, Forensic Accounting & Litigation Support (“VFL”) team since December 2022.
With more than 25 years of distinguished experience in the fraud, forensic accounting, commercial damages and litigation support fields, Ms. Sawhney has dedicated her career to providing testifying experience in these areas within the New York City, Long Island, New Jersey, and Connecticut tri-state area. She has also testified in other states throughout the country. Her extensive work has focused on a broad range of industries, including, but not limited to, real estate, financial services, healthcare, retail and manufacturing.

Her depth and breadth of knowledge and experience have enhanced the division in myriad ways,” said BST & Co. Ms. Sawhney has served as a testifying expert witness in numerous cases and her contributions have led to her appointment as a New York State Part 36 Forensic Accountant, further underscoring her prominence and credibility in the field.
Ms. Sawhney received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Stony Brook University and a master’s degree in business administration in finance from Loyola University. She is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA), and has earned designations of Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Master Analyst in Financial Forensics (MAFF) and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS). Ms. Sawhney is also approved to accept appointments as a forensic accountant and/or commercial damages expert in several counties of New York State pursuant to NYS Part 36 of the Rules of the Chief Judge.
