ALBANY, NY – Take the stress and guess work out of planning the upcoming holiday meal with some delectable options from Cardona’s Market. The family-owned, Italian specialty grocer and caterer is offering two unique meal choices for Easter Sunday.
For those who don’t have time to spend in the kitchen, Cardona’s is offering a special take-and-reheat Easter menu. The catering plan includes a sliced, sweet glazed, house-baked Hatfield ham; potatoes gratin; braised lamb ragout with fregola; green beans with fresh mint and herbed vinaigrette; Nona’s Stracciatella soup; nuts and berries salad; dinner rolls; and an eight-inch carrot cake. This special holiday menu serves eight to 10 people for $250. Chef Rob’s Easter pies, Italian Easter bread and the bakery’s homemade sweet pies are also available at an additional cost.
Home chefs who prefer to do some of the cooking themselves can take advantage of Cardona’s Easter Butcher Box, which includes a 10-pound spiral ham with a whole-grain brown sugar glaze, fresh Pastosa’s bunny-shaped pasta, a jar of tomato basil cream sauce and a homemade ricotta pie for $90.
“Easter dinner is one of the most treasured parts of the holiday and Cardona’s wants to help you celebrate,” said Cardona’s Market Owner August Cardona. “Our Butcher Box is a great option for people who want to cook for their loved ones, and our catering menu is perfect for those who don’t have time. We want to make the holiday weekend as enjoyable—and delicious—for our customers as possible.”
The catering menu must be ordered by Wednesday, April 13, and orders for the Easter Butcher Box must be placed by Thursday, April 14. Both dinner packages can be picked up at any of Cardona’s three locations between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 16.

The Albany location is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and is closed on Sundays. The Latham market is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The store in Saratoga Springs is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is closed on Sundays.
