DUNKIN’® AND MAKE-A-WISH® WESTERN NEW YORK CELEBRATE LAUNCH OF ANNUAL CHARITABLE CAMPAIGN

Dunkin’ and Make-A-Wish Western New York today celebrated the kick off of their annual Make-A-Wish Donut campaign, a community program designed to help make the wishes of local children come true.

Now through September 15, guests who donate $1 to Make-A-Wish at participating Dunkin’ restaurants in the Southern Tier will receive a free specially crafted Make-A-Wish Donut, while supplies last. All proceeds will benefit Make-A-Wish Western New York.

“Dunkin’ is pleased to continue its support for Make-A-Wish Western New York, a charity that works day-in and day-out to help make the wishes of local children come true,” said a Dunkin’ spokesperson. “I encourage the residents of the Southern Tier to enjoy a special treat while supporting an organization that is so important to the children and families in our community.”

The specialty donut, which is topped with white icing and blue sprinkles in honor of Make-A-Wish, will be available at participating Dunkin’ restaurants in the Southern Tier for a limited time.

“Make-A-Wish is incredibly appreciative of our ongoing partnership with Dunkin’,” said Make-A-Wish Western New York Regional Director Ben Marchione. “It provides us with an amazing opportunity to raise both crucial awareness and funds to help support local children and families fighting critical illnesses. Thank you to Dunkin’ for making it possible, and to the community for supporting the Donut Campaign. It is only through vitally important partnerships such as this that we can continue to serve our essential mission.”

Make-A-Wish Western New York creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses throughout a 17-county region of New York State. The organization has granted more than 3,700 wishes in the Western New York area.
