Members of the local community and Dunkin’ fans alike poured into Dunkin’s newly remodeled next generation restaurant at 440 Veterans Boulevard on Thursday, June 20 as part of its grand reopening ceremony.
Dunkin’ franchisee Tony Santarelli commemorated the occasion with a $3,000 donation to Community FoodBank of New Jersey in conjunction with the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation. Community FoodBank of New Jersey is a registered nonprofit dedicated to helping over 500,000 residents fight food insecurity in New Jersey.
“We are extremely grateful for the support of Tony Santarelli and the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation for their donation to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey,” said Community FoodBank of New Jersey Corporate Volunteer Manager Joanna Cancro. “Donations such as these, as well as physical donations, help fuel our mission of assisting the residents of New Jersey that we serve, including in the local Carlstadt community.”
The celebration also included members of the Carlstadt Fire Department and the Carlstadt Police Department, who joined Dunkin’ representatives for a commemorative ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The morning featured the first 100 guests in line at 9 a.m. receiving one free medium hot or iced coffee for 100 consecutive days on the Dunkin’ Rewards App as part of Dunkin’s Free Coffee for 100 Days giveaway, while many other Dunkin’ Rewards members spun the Dunkin’ prize wheel for free Dunkin’ merchandise.
The grand reopening fell on Dunkin’ Iced Coffee Day, which saw $1 from every Iced Coffee sold go to support the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation’s mission to bring joy to kids battling illness in local hospitals.
The 1,900-square-foot Dunkin’ employs 10 crew members and is open seven days a week.
