Members of the local community and Dunkin’ fans alike poured into Dunkin’s newly remodeled next generation restaurant at 41-02 College Point Blvd. in the Queens neighborhood of Flushing on Wednesday, December 11 as part of its grand reopening ceremony.
Dunkin’ franchisee Scott Campbell commemorated the occasion with a $3,000 donation to the WORC Force Center. The WORC Force Center is a nonprofit that provides individuals with special needs and other underserved populations the tools and resources to succeed by offering several life skills programs.
“We thank Scott Campbell and Dunkin’ for their continued support of Life’s WORC and the WORC Force Center,” said WORC Force Center Grant Writer Jim Spencer. “We are extremely grateful for this partnership, which allows us to provide resources towards employment for individuals that we work with.”
New York City Councilwoman Sandra Ung and representatives from the office of New York State Senator John C. Liu also joined the celebration and participated in a commemorative ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The morning featured dozens of guests in line at 9 a.m. receiving Free Coffee for a Year while many others spun the Dunkin’ prize wheel for free Dunkin’ merchandise.
The 1,500-square-foot Dunkin’ employs 15 crew members and is open daily from 5 a.m. until 10 p.m.
