Dunkin’ restaurant in Menands commemorates grand reopening with donation to St. Catherine’s Center for Children

Members of the local community and Dunkin’ fans alike poured into Dunkin’s newly remodeled next generation restaurant at 60 Broadway in the Village of Menands on Friday, September 27 as part of its grand reopening ceremony.

Dunkin’ franchisee Kevin Wright of APRES NY Franchise Group commemorated the occasion with a $3,000 donation to St. Catherine’s Center for Children in conjunction with the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation. St. Catherine’s Center for Children is a leading non-profit agency dedicated to transforming the lives of vulnerable children and families in Albany County.

“We would like to thank Kevin Wright and the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation for this generous donation to St. Catherine’s,” said Foundation for St. Catherine’s Center for Children Executive Director Michele O’Hare. “It will be used both for our Foundation and for our foster children fund and will support children facing trauma and mental health issues.”

The celebration also included New York State Senator Jake Ashby; New York State Assemblyman Phil Steck; Menands Village Mayor Brian Marsh; Menands Village Clerk Don Handerhan; Menands Village Trustee Tim Lane; and members of the Menands Police Department, who participated in a commemorative ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The morning featured the first 100 Dunkin’ Rewards members in line at 9 a.m. receiving one free medium hot or iced coffee for 100 consecutive days on the Dunkin’ App, while many other Rewards members spun the Dunkin’ prize wheel for free Dunkin’ merchandise.

The 2,800 square-foot newly remodeled Dunkin’ employs 16 crew members and is open daily from 5 a.m. until 7 p.m.
