Dunkin’ restaurant in Pearl River commemorates grand reopening with donation to Feeding Westchester

Members of the local community and Dunkin’ fans alike poured into Dunkin’s newly remodeled next generation restaurant at 112 North Middletown Road in Pearl River earlier this month as part of its grand reopening.

The restaurant recently reopened its doors after nearly three years, following a devastating fire that broke out in November 2021, and spread throughout the plaza housing Dunkin’.

Dunkin’ franchisees Mike McAleer and Walter Buczek commemorated the grand reopening with a $3,000 donation to Feeding Westchester in conjunction with the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation. Feeding Westchester is a nonprofit food bank that works alongside nearly 300 partners and programs to distribute food and other resources to communities across Westchester County and surrounding areas.

“Feeding Westchester is very appreciative of this gift from Mike McAleer, Walter Buczek, and the Dunkin’ Joy in Child Foundation,” said Feeding Westchester Director of Corporate Partnerships Rebecca Snyder. “This donation will allow us to provide hunger relief to our expansive network of partners and help to feed those in need across Westchester County.”

The celebration also included Town of Orangetown Supervisor Teresa Kenny; Rockland County Sherrif Louis Falco; Rockland County Deputy Executive Michael Hoblin; Town of Orangetown Councilmember Brian Donahue; Members of the Town of Orangetown Police Department; and representatives from the office of New York State Assemblyman John McGowan, who took part in a commemorative ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The morning featured the first 100 guests in line at 9 a.m. receiving a coupon book containing four free medium hot or iced coffee coupons per month for 14 months as part of Dunkin’s Free Coffee for a Year giveaway, while many other Dunkin’ Rewards members spun the Dunkin’ prize wheel for free Dunkin’ merchandise. Select customers also received tickets to New York Boulders games.

The 2,800-square-foot Dunkin’ employs 15 crew members and is open daily from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.
