Center provides education and mentorship for quick service restaurant employees in Central New York
June 29, 2017 (Syracuse, NY), – The Wolak Group, an independent franchisee network that owns and operates more than 95 Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in Central New York, Maine and New Hampshire, today announced the official opening of The Wolak Group Career Development Center. A Grand Opening event with business, government and community leaders was held on Thursday, June 29 at 2851 Erie Boulevard in Syracuse, NY. The state-of-the-art training facility was recently constructed to meet the growing needs of today’s workforce.
The Wolak Group Career Development Center was created to educate the public about quick service restaurant opportunities within The Wolak Group. The Center also serves as an education and mentorship center where current and prospective Dunkin’ Donuts franchised associates of The Wolak Group can discover the career opportunities within the organization. The Center will focus on enhanced recruitment, training, development, and philanthropic endeavors to ensure The Wolak Group is looked upon as the employer of choice within their geographies.
Many individuals in today’s labor market feel trapped in entry level positions and view the “American Dream” as being out of reach. There are numerous examples of The Wolak Group associates who started at entry level positions and have earned their way into top management through mentoring and hard work including The Wolak Group founder, Ed Wolak. He started out as a porter at a Manchester, NH Dunkin’ Donuts and today leads an organization that operates more than 95 quick service restaurants and employs nearly 2000.
