NEW YORK, NY, – UHY Advisors NY today announced executives Michael Mahoney and Howard Foote have been named to the national board of directors for UHY Advisors, Inc.
Based in Manhattan, Mahoney is the CEO of UHY Advisors NY and the Managing Director of the Metro New York office. Foote, based in Albany, NY, is the Capital Region Office Managing Director. UHY Advisors NY is the northeast practice of UHY Advisors, one of the nation’s leading professional service firms. Their terms of office commenced October 1.

Mahoney and Foote are joined on the national board by Robert Bauer, Thomas Callan, Steven McCarty, Steven Wendling, and the firm’s chief executive officer, Anthony Frabotta. The seven member board is charged with the stewardship of UHY Advisors, guiding its corporate strategy, reviewing and approving annual budgets, and appointing and monitoring the performance of the CEO.

Mahoney has been with the firm and its predecessors for over 30 years and has oversight responsibility for each of its Northeast offices. He specializes in services to venture capital, private equity and investment companies, providing due diligence and transaction related services for their investment pursuits. Mahoney received his Bachelor of Scienece from Bentley College in Waltham, MA. His civic involvement has included serving on the advisory board for Westchester Community College, past co-chairman and treasurer of Make-A-Wish Foundation of Metro New York, and past treasurer for the Learning Disabilities Association of New York.
Foote serves as an audit partner of UHY LLP, a member of UHY LLP’s national management committee and the leader of the Albany, NY office of UHY Advisors. He has over three decades of experience providing practical business advice to banks, credit unions, public authorities, public benefit corporations, governmental entities, not-for-profits and entities in the commercial sector. Foote received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Siena College in Loudonville, NY. He is chairman of the board of trustees of Siena College, a former chairman of the AICPA Credit Unions committee and past treasurer of Ellis Medicine.
