Organizers announce postponement of 2021 event due to ongoing impact of the Covid-19 pandemic
Albany, NY – Friday, September 10, 2021 – Organizers of the Northeast Ski & Craft Beer Showcase, one of the nation’s longest, continuously-running winter sports shows, today announced that the 2021 edition of the event will not take place due to the ongoing impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Northeast Ski & Craft Beer Showcase had been scheduled to take place November 5-7 in downtown Albany. The Showcase will return to the Albany Capital Center on November 4-6, 2022.
The development follows similar announcements from other major winter sports and outdoor recreation events throughout the country as a result of continued concerns surrounding the virus.
“We are incredibly disappointed to postpone the show for the second year in a row,” said Northeast Ski & Craft Beer Showcase Director Brooke Bardack. “However, the winter sports industry has not been immune to the many challenges created by the ongoing pandemic. We are extremely confident in the future of the show and are as energized as ever to return to the Albany Capital Center in 2022 to reunite with our longtime partners and loyal guests.”
For nearly six decades, the Northeast Ski & Craft Beer Showcase has brought together winter sports enthusiasts to explore regional ski and snowboard destinations in New York, Vermont, Massachusetts and Maine, amongst other premier locations.
