SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) will invite racing fans to show their school pride during College and Alumni Day at Saratoga Race Course on Wednesday, August 29 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Coca-Cola Saratoga Pavilion will feature an array of special activities and giveaways for guests throughout the afternoon, including displays from the University at Albany, SUNY Schenectady County Community College, and Siena College.
The day will also include named races in honor of the University at Albany and SUNY Schenectady County Community College.
“We’re excited to welcome college students and alumni to Saratoga Race Course. This event is a great opportunity for friends to come together right before the beginning of the fall semester,” said NYRA Senior Vice President and Chief Experience Officer Lynn LaRocca. “We look forward to seeing a display of school pride at the Spa during this event.”
Fans are encouraged to show their school spirit for the chance to win special prizes from NYRA and radio station FLY 92.3 FM at the Coca-Cola Saratoga Pavilion. Fans must stop by the Coca-Cola Saratoga Pavilion for the chance to win. FLY 92.3 FM will greet guests at the Pavilion from 3 to 5 p.m.
College students will have the opportunity to receive a mystery mutuel voucher worth up to $1000 by registering at NYRA.com/mysteryvoucher now through Monday, August 27 at noon. Students who register will receive a bar code which must be presented with a valid college ID at the Coca-Cola Saratoga Pavilion on College Day between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Students who present the bar code and valid college ID will receive the mutuel voucher which will be pre-loaded with a designated amount of cash for wagering. Students must be at least 18 years of age to participate.
Grandstand admission for Saratoga Race Course is $5 and Clubhouse admission is $8 for guests who purchase their tickets prior to the day of the event. Grandstand admission is $7 and Clubhouse admission is $10 when purchased at the gate.
