SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) will welcome fans to learn more about the variety of world-class cultural attractions in Saratoga Springs during Saratoga Visit Day at Saratoga Race Course on Wednesday, July 17 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Coca-Cola Saratoga Pavilion will serve as a one-stop location for fans to explore the numerous museums, entertainment and outdoor recreation venues in Saratoga Springs and will provide fans with options to complement their visit to Saratoga Race Course.
“We are excited to host and promote the many other tourism attractions located throughout the Saratoga community,” said NYRA CEO and President Dave O’Rourke. “We hope that visitors to the track will leave with a greater appreciation for all that Saratoga has to offer in the way of cultural, recreational and entertainment activities, and we hope they’ll frequent our tourism partners during their stay at the Spa or during future visits to our region.”
Fans will enjoy a variety of activities, demonstrations and displays throughout the afternoon, including art from the Saratoga Arts District; art-making activities provided by the Tang Teaching Museum; and a vintage car courtesy of the Saratoga Automobile Museum.
Participating organizations and attractions include: Frances Young Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery at Skidmore College; National Museum of Dance; National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame; Saratoga Arts District; Saratoga Automobile Museum; Saratoga Performing Arts Center; Saratoga Springs History Museum; and Yaddo Gardens.
Thoroughbred racing will resume on Wednesday, July 17, at Saratoga Race Course and will continue through Labor Day, Monday, September 2. Racing at Saratoga Race Course is held five days a week, Wednesdays through Sundays. Closing week will run Wednesday, August 28 through Labor Day.
