Project marks the fourth Prime Companies property in the Spindle City, helping Cohoes become the fastest growing city in the state
COHOES, N.Y., August 8, 2017 – Prime Companies today celebrated the completion of the large pedestrian footbridge at its newest luxury residential apartment complex – Hudson Square in Cohoes, NY.
Officials from the community joined executives from Prime Companies to commemorate the construction milestone with a hard hat tour of the luxury apartment community, which is located alongside the Van Schaick Island County Club and slated to welcome its first residents in September.
The development of Hudson Square further affirms Prime Companies’ commitment to the Spindle City, which was recently named the fastest-growing city in New York State in a study by the Center for Economic Growth. Hudson Square marks the fourth luxury apartment complex in Cohoes for Prime Companies.

Upon completion, Hudson Square will feature 165 units featuring luxury living spaces and maintenance-free living. The new development will also offer a variety of amenities to residents, including a saltwater pool, outdoor television, putting green, bocce court and billiards table.
Hudson Square is the latest offering from Prime Companies, which also owns and operates six additional luxury apartment complexes in the greater Capital Region, including Riverwalk Apartments, Shelter Cove Apartments and Waters View Apartments in Cohoes; Oak Hill Apartments in Rensselaer; River’s Edge Apartments in Green Island; and the mixed-use retail and residential complex The Hamlet at Saratoga Springs.
