ALBANY, NY; – More than 40 national and local companies, well-known brands and government entities have signed on as sponsors or supporters of the Aurora Games, a six-day all-women’s international sports and entertainment festival being held August 20-25 at the Times Union Center in Albany, NY.
“The Aurora Games is bringing some of the world’s most accomplished athletes to the Capital Region to showcase their talents and celebrate women’s sports in ways that haven’t been done before,” said Aurora Games Executive Producer Jerry Solomon. “We thank our sponsors and supporters for helping us make this unique gathering of world-class athletes a must-see event for fans.”
Promotional efforts by the Aurora Games’ sponsors include: a special appearance at an Albany-area Dunkin’ by an Aurora Games athlete and two Olympic medalists; chances for visitors to the Fan Zone in the Albany Capital Center to win T.J. Maxx gift cards and a free cruise from Celebrity Cruise; surprise ticket giveaways for fans dining at restaurants within Stuyvesant Plaza; and the Times Union’s production of the official program of the Aurora Games.
The founding sponsors of the Aurora Games are T.J. Maxx and Women’s Health. The Women’s Sports Foundation (WSF) is the official charity partner of the Aurora Games.

Approximately 150 world-class female athletes, including Olympic medalists and national champions from around the globe, are set to compete in the Aurora Games at the Times Union Center in downtown Albany. The event will feature Team Americas vs. Team World competing in tennis, gymnastics, basketball, figure skating, ice hockey and beach volleyball, along with a table tennis exhibition at the Albany Capital Center.

- Dunkin’: Gymnastics on Wednesday, August 21 at 7 p.m.
- Musselman’s: Figure Skating on Saturday, August 24 at 1 p.m.
- Stuyvesant Plaza: Beach Volleyball on Sunday, August 25 at 11 a.m.
- Forts Ferry Farm: Table Tennis exhibition on Saturday, August 24 at noon, and Sunday, August 25 at 11:30 a.m. at the Albany Capital Center
