Stuyvesant Plaza, the Capital Region’s premier open-air shopping and dining destination, today celebrated the arrival of Athleta, a women’s and girls’ athletic-wear retailer known for its environmentally conscious designs.
Athleta’s grand opening celebration took place on Sunday, February 23, from noon to 2 p.m. To commemorate the occasion, Athleta was joined by BARE Blends which offered specialty wellness shots to guests, and live yoga instructors from The Hot Yoga Spot modeled Athleta brand apparel in the storefront windows during the event.
“We are excited to welcome Athleta to Stuyvesant Plaza as the first addition for the new year,” said Stuyvesant Plaza General Manager Rachel Ferluge. “The brand’s commitment to supporting an active lifestyle with stylish and comfortable apparel make it a valuable addition for our guests.”
Athleta is located on the plaza’s north side, adjacent to White House Black Market and Sur La Table, and near The Lawn, a multi-purpose green space that debuted last spring.
Athleta is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
