Stuyvesant Plaza, the Capital Region’s premier open-air retail destination, is beginning construction on The Lawn, a custom-designed greenspace which will be located in front of Jean Paul Spa and Salons. Comprising more than 3,000 square feet, the multi-purpose turf area will act as the Plaza’s central hub for outdoor community events and other activities.
The Lawn will feature a turf area for fitness, lawn games and movement. A hardscaped patio space, surrounded by seasonal planters, will offer ample seating for guests who want to sit, sip and savor the day with friends, family and colleagues. Complimentary Wi-Fi will also be available for those who want to get work done, taking in fresh air.
“This summer at Stuyvesant Plaza promises to be an exciting and festive celebration of sunny days and warm nights with the addition of our new community space,” said Stuyvesant Plaza General Manager Rachel Ferluge. “We are planning to host a robust calendar of outdoor events at The Lawn this summer and fall, including our annual Summer Market. From yoga classes to story hours to live music, The Lawn will offer something for everyone to enjoy.”
Throughout the construction phase, surrounding retailers and restaurants will remain open; however individual business hours may vary. Guests are encouraged to check with their favorite shops and eateries before visiting.
