ALBANY, N.Y. – Stuyvesant Plaza merchants will bring their goods outdoors during the plaza’s first sidewalk sale of the season on Saturday, June 22. Stuyvesant Plaza will open at 9:30 a.m. to accommodate shoppers and will remain open until 6 p.m.
This year marks the 60th anniversary of Stuyvesant Plaza, which first opened its doors in November 1959. The tradition of summer sidewalk sales at Stuyvesant Plaza began 10 years later in 1969, making 2019 the 50th year for the seasonal event.
“Our summer sidewalk sales have become a seasonal fixture for our shops, boutiques and eateries and are a truly defining feature of the Plaza,” said Stuyvesant Plaza Vice President of Real Estate Janet Kaplan. “The sidewalk sale is a wonderful way for customers to enjoy a summer day and walk away with great finds and unique merchandise. We encourage shoppers to join us for a great day as we celebrate 60 years of Stuyvesant Plaza.”
Almost all of the retailers within the plaza take part in the sidewalk sale and will feature inventory that has been significantly reduced in price.
Stuyvesant Plaza is conveniently located at the corner of Western Avenue and Fuller Road in Albany. For more information about Stuyvesant Plaza, visit StuyvesantPlaza.com.
