The Wesley Community, a 37-acre senior living campus with more than 700 residents in Saratoga Springs, will host a job fair this month as part of an accelerated recruitment initiative.
The in-house hiring event will be held on Wednesday, June 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Embury Café on the Wesley campus at 131 Lawrence Street in Saratoga Springs.
Vacancies currently exist for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Home Health Aides (HHAs), Licensed Practical Nurses, Registered Nurses and Food Service staff.
“Staffing shortages continue to plague all facets of the healthcare industry, including senior communities. As a result, we are actively recruiting for a variety of positions,” said J. Brian Nealon, CEO of The Wesley Community. “We believe that Wesley offers a nurturing and upbeat work environment that is unmatched by other senior communities in the area. Our in-house job fair gives applicants an opportunity to meet us in person and experience the community first- hand.”
The healthcare industry is responsible for as much as 14% of the nation’s overall employment, according to data from the U.S. Census Bureau. Similarly, the Administration on Aging predicts that the demand for long-term healthcare services will continue to grow in the U.S. in tandem with its aging population.
Wesley is currently offering Certified Nursing Assistant training classes. This is a six-week, paid program. The next session begins Monday, July 8. Interested parties may apply on Wesley’s website.
