THE WESLEY COMMUNITY WELCOMES NEW LEADER OF WESLEY HEALTH CARE CENTER

The Wesley Community today announced the appointment of Marc Walker as administrator of the Wesley Health Care Center, the long-term care skilled nursing facility located on the grounds of the Saratoga Springs-based senior living campus. Walker brings more than three decades of professional healthcare experience to his new role.

Walker, who begins his new appointment on March 10, has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to enhancing resident care and strengthening healthcare workforces. With a career spanning various healthcare settings across New York State, he has successfully managed skilled-nursing facilities of all sizes.

“We are pleased to welcome Marc to The Wesley Community,” said J. Brian Nealon, CEO of The Wesley Community. “His extensive background in healthcare leadership will be of great benefit to the Wesley Health Care Center. I am confident his expertise will assist our teams and strengthen our internal healthcare systems as a whole. We look forward to navigating our path forward with Marc and to continuing to offer the highest standard of care to our residents and their families.”

For the past five years, Walker has served as the executive director of St. Peter’s Health facilities, overseeing Schuyler Ridge in Clifton Park and Eddy Village Green in Cohoes. His leadership has been instrumental in bringing a broader vision to the field of health care, in particular with his management of the Greenhouse Model of Nursing Home Care, which is an innovative approach to eldercare adopted by Eddy Village Green more than a decade ago.

“I am honored to accept this opportunity as administrator of the Wesley Health Care Center,” said Walker. “As a resident of Saratoga, it is deeply rewarding to become an active member of this vibrant community. My experience working with a cross section of organizations has given me a well-rounded perspective on ways to deliver effective and efficient health care services in different settings. I look forward to working with Wesley’s leadership as we build on more than five successful decades of providing a high standard of senior health care.”
